On the Use of Religious and Branded Imagery
What happens when holiness wears a logo? These works question what we worship now — saints or status, symbols or brands. The statement below explains the intent behind blending sacred imagery with the icons of consumer culture.
The artworks presented on this website are original creations by Iana Paun, intended as visual and cultural commentary on the intersection between religion, consumerism, and identity in the 21st century.
These works explore questions such as: What does holiness look like today? Has fashion become the new religion? What symbols do we worship now?
Any use of brand logos or religious symbols is purely artistic and transformative in nature. The inclusion of trademarks such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Versace, or Hermès is used in a critical and conceptual context and does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from the trademark holders.
This project invites dialogue about modern spirituality, materialism, and the evolution of sacred imagery in a branded world.
